Coronavirus Information (COVID-19)
Dear Parents and Carers,
Whilst we have no cases of Coronavirus in school, following the recent Public Health updates regarding Coronavirus, we would like to make parents and carers aware of the following based on Government advice:
QUARRANTINED AREAS IN ITALY
(Bertonico, Terranova dei Passerini, Castiglione d’Adda, Casalpusterlengo, Castelgerundo, Somaglia, Codogno, Fombio, Maleo, Vo’ Eugane, or San Fiorano) since 19th February,you are advised to self-isolate for 14 days from point of arrival into the UK, even if you or your child/children are presenting no symptoms. If you have returned from these specific areas since 19th February, you should call NHS 111 and stay indoors and avoid contact with other people even if you do not have symptoms.
KEY COUNTRIES AND AREAS
If you have returned from these specific areas since 19th February, you should call NHS 111 and stay indoors and avoid contact with other people even if you do not have symptoms:
‘special care zones’ in South Korea as designated by the Government of the Republic of South Korea
Hubei province (returned in the past 14 days)
Travellers from other parts of China and other specified areas
This advice applies to travellers who have returned to the UK from the following areas:
Republic of Korea
If you have returned to the UK from any of these areas in the last 14 days and develop symptoms of cough or fever or shortness of breath, you should immediately:
stay indoors and avoid contact with other people as you would with the flu
call NHS 111 to inform them of your recent travel to the country
If you have returned from these areas since 19th February and develop symptoms, however mild, you should stay indoors at home and avoid contact with other people immediately and call NHS 111. You do not need to follow this advice if you have no symptoms.
northern Italy (anywhere north of Pisa, Florence and Rimini)
Should you require medical advice please call the NHS on 111. Should you need to self-isolate and keep your child/children at home, please contact and notify me at school; all information will be treated in the strictest confidence.
