Whole school homework for World Book Day!

Bleasby C.E. Primary School, Monday 27th January 2020

Spring Term Extended Homework and World Book Day

Dear Pupils,

Following on from the success of our whole school 3D homework challenge last term, we have decided upon your next challenge!

As World Book Day and BBC Radio 2’s 500 Words story writing competition are fast approaching, we would like you all to become authors and to create a book of your own!

Your book can be a story (fiction) or information (non-fiction)and be on any theme you like or that interests you. We are looking for interesting and varied presentation. There are some great ideas for books shapes online (e.g. see http://www.makingbooks.com/freeprojects) but chat with an adult at home about this too. (No Powerpoints please). If you wish to enter the 500 Words competition, please see the website https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/articles/4n1HgL2GFCWDmCtq9Sx5kKB/500-words-2020 . We would like you to bring your book in on World Book Day March 5th and you will have the chance to share your creation and others’ fabulous work then. There will be prizes for the best girl’s and boy’s books from each class. We will also display your amazing creations.

Don’t forget to mark this day on your calendar as on World Book Day you can dress up as your favourite book character too.

Best wishes and happy writing from the Staff of Bleasby School.
